Poor Malfoy, that might have been the most awkward/uncomfortable moment of his life. I feel that despite the audience's collective laughter, there was also an element of 'uhhh..' and some shifting in seats, because watching it was awkward too.

Though, honestly, if there were anyone out there who would be the master of awkward hugging, it would be Voldemort.

Well, hello there.

After the movie, there was this woman in the bathroom talking about how she hung out with Tom Felton, back during one of the first movies. She kept telling her friend about how she was 17 and he was 14 but he was really chill and she could have, basically (less straightforwardly, and with more thinly veiled innuendo), gotten him. Except it would have been creepy. Or something like that. I didn't know whether to scoff in disbelief or strangle her in an attempt to get more information.

I opted for the former, it seemed less likely to get me arrested and banned from the country.

As a tween falling in love with him, it was probably a bad thing. As a responsible adult who knows better person who's a bit older, I realize that considering how his character developed and everything he had gone through/what he overcame, it's a good thing.

He's one of the only blondes in the world that I'm in love with. Not that I avoid blonde boys as a principle, but I find myself for the most part being attracted to brunettes. But this one (and James Marsters as a blonde) just tickle my fancy.

I'm running off to class, but just thought I'd start off the day with these little gems. 

To Ponder or Not To Ponder

Ever have those days where your teacher just says things that resonate within you?
I keep having those days with my Journalism teacher.

"It's not that the reader falls in love with that person, but that the reader understands why you're in love with them."

As someone who can't go through the day without writing something, it seems that that would be given. But it wasn't until he said it last week that I realized that I spend so much trying to get the invisible reader to fall in love with the characters I write about, or even get perplexed at the idea that they're not in love with the characters in the tv shows that I love, that I forget to simply make them understand my own feelings.

But srsly, look at this face

It doesn't matter, at the end of the day, if Viking and Moon don't love Draco as much as I do, the point is that they know why I do and are not continuously bombared with furrowed brows and me going "but he's fantastic!" (which doesn't explain very much).

[Note: I'm not exactly sure why Draco Malfoy is the first person that came to mind, but it's probably because I get the most resistance when it comes to love for him, as opposed to, say, Angel, who seems to be universally loved for his tall/dark/handsome/brooding qualities]
