I think Jeremy Renner is fantastic, and I'm glad he's playing someone as awesome as Hawkeye. Anyone else extremely excited for the Avengers movie? Because I know I am, and not just because I miss Joss Whedon's storytelling abilities...I think I had something clever to follow that up with...but it got lost in my imdb search.

Doctor Who Day

I honestly can't believe that it's already Sunday. This weekend has gone exceptionally fast, and now that I'm at the end of it I'm wondering where it all went, other than to the N64 and Mario Kart and a whole lot of 30 Rock. One episode of Series 6 left for me to actually start ranting/speculating about Doctor Who, so just bear with me guys.

In the mean time, it's apparently Doctor Who Day! Unofficially, of course, and simply because if you write out the date in the European way it would be 9/10/11, and nerds/fans will find any way possible to celebrate there universes of choice. So happy Doctor Who Day to all you Whovians, and potentially Whovians out there! I'm going to, unfortunately, have to do something other than just lounge at home which means venturing out into the big bad world, so wish me luck.

Spent the past [insert number of hours] reading about marketing management and I'm not sure that I retained anything, at all. On the bright side, it's not like our professor puts us on the spot or anything /dies.

At this point, by the time you read this, I'll be either dying in class or in the process of dying in class. So wish me luck. I had a moment of panic in my yesterday's class where I realized how much responsibility I would have to have/need to have in order to be able to make a living. Then I remembered I did not really have that much time to get everything in order in my mind, because I'm not 21 as I keep thinking (almost every day), but 22, on the way to 23. I'm so close to being on the wrong side of 20.

Woe is me.

I might or might not be obsessed with the loldwell website at this particular moment. That and The Biggest Loser (I think they're showing reruns of Season 5), America's Got Talent (Season 5 as well...I think *shifty eyes*), and Friends (Does it even matter which season? They're all fantastic, even the one where Matthew Perry is emaciated/clearly on drugs).

Every year during Ramadan I tend to find a show (or three) that I get invested in. Last year it was CSI: Miami because I just couldn't resist Horatio and his sunglasses and wonderful one liners. This year I kind of accidentally stumbled upon America's Got Talent and fell in love with Howie and Sharon (and amused by Piers). The Biggest Loser just happens to be right before, and I kept having to watch the end in order to not miss who got voted through. Clearly, once I realized there was also unnecessary build up and tension in The Biggest Loser, I had to continue watching it.

On Cats and Whovianism

I wish I could have conversations with my cat about Doctor Who.

Come to think of it, I'd most likely be very impressed if my cat started talking about anything, let alone Doctor Who. But that would be extra special. Unless he says something along the lines of "Fucking aye! Again? Didn't you watch that episode a week ago? WATCH SOMETHING NEW WOMAN."

Speaking of cats and Doctor Who, my aunt has recently rescued a cute little kitten from the outside world (which I might have mentione), who has been bathed, fed and given an abundance of love (via moi and my face/body which has apparently turned into a scratching post-chew toy-day bed combination).

"How is that relevant?" I hear you ask (albeit silently). Well my sister and I have decided to name him the Doctor...Doctor for short. I like to believe that since the Doctor can regenerate, why not into an animal? The Tenth Doctor seemed to have a fondness for kittens, before the whole New New York growing of humans incident at least.

Also, think of it! A cat has nine lives, so logically (stay with me here) if the Doctor's final regeneration is into a cat, he can have nine extra lives! It's like getting a 1up in Mario, except it's not Mario and it's a 9up.

It makes sense in my head, which is now thinking "quick, distract them with a cute picture!" Good thinking, self.

Batman and Doctor Who, if only

This should be real. I'm saying this because Batman has always been my favourite superhero, and right now the Doctor is one of my favourite [insert any noun that pertains to him]. It's like having a movie with both the Doctor and Harry Potter. That level of awesomeness, in my humble opinion, in comic book form would explode into a flurry of fascinating storylines of parallel universes where the Doctor joins the main characters on some epic adventure or another and helps them save the world.

I mean, Marvel and DC are up to their ears in parallel universes where the dead aren't actually dead, so why not join forces with BBC/Steven Moffat/Russel T. Davies and make all nerd boys and girls alike die from excitement. I can just picture the bonds of friendship forged at comic-cons across the universe as people dressed like Gambit approach someone dressed like the Tenth Doctor and discuss the latest adventure their respective characters had in the latest Uncanny X-Men.

I feel like their should be a petition of some sort to make this happen. Don't they always have petitions for the cult like fan needs? Or is that just for things that Joss Whedon creates that the network decides isn't popular enough?

Dreams of Mutants

I had a dream where I was playing cards with Remy LeBeau (or Gambit if you prefer), and I realized quite quickly that he was cheating. Unfortunately, it's hard to argue with someone who can manipulate kinetic energy, throw cards like a beast, and is inhumanly charming, so I kicked his ass the old fashioned way, by being fantastic at wotever game we happened to be playing (it was either poker, or Go Fish, same difference). Also, it helped that Rambo showed up, and since we all know me and Rambo are bffls, my lovely Cajun mutant decided to play it straight.

Not a very action packed dream, true, but that was actually preferably in my opinion, considering I tend to wake up more tired than I went to sleep these days. So sitting around playing cards with my favourite X-Men was not a bad deal.

I seem to be having a lot of dreams with Rambo these days, though I'm not quite certain why. I haven't seen those movies in at least a million years and it's not like I have any deep affection for Stallone. Though, I suppose, it's a nice change from Doctor Who. Not that I mind that it has taken over every corner of my conscious thought, it's just nice to know that when I'm unconscious, I am capable of expanding my mind beyond a fictional sci-fi show, as fantastic as it may be.

Super Wedding

Can we talk about how awesome this photo is? I want my wedding to be something along those lines, except my husband is going to be wearing the Batman shirt. Or ooh, X-Men theme and he can be Gambit? Would that be too much?

          I found this picture on Taste of Awesome, but I just had to search the blog and find the original, and I'm glad I did because it looks better without that black border that made it small and not clear. Naturally, though, I ended up going through several of their posts because the photos are beautiful, to say the least. So if you guys like photography/have time/like looking at pretty things, you should definitely check out Hoffer photography (the blog, more specifically, though I haven't checked out the rest of it so I have no idea wot it's like...thought I don't doubt it's great).

Again, Captain Jack Syndrome. Poor Rory though, he doesn't get the same attention that Jack does, and Jack tends to willingly put himself in those situations because he *knows* he can just come back. With Rory though, it's like any of the times could be the last.

I'm clearly procrastinating. But that's only because I realized about five minutes ago that my last day of classes as an Undergrad ever was May 9th. That's in less than 2 weeks. I graduate in 20 days. 20 days. 20 days.

          I apologise for the temporary bout of insanity/lag, it will most probably happen again. In order to prevent myself falling too deep into the vast existential abyss that accompanies the fear of drastic-yet-unavoidable change, I'm going to distract myself by not working on that last lab report of mine (just yet) and, instead, find pictures to post that I find amusing. Like I would usually do on a normal, not-freaking-out-about-my-future, day. If I've learned one thing from life, it's that the best thing to do when facing an obstacle or problem is pretend it's not there until you cannot avoid it any more.
