David Tennant's Face of the Day

So many things to do, so little time. I'm sorry for neglecting you and depriving you of the brilliance that is David Tennant's face.

From Farm to Pasture: A Moomoir in Progress

Bea, the Bold Bovine. The diva/hero(ine)/protagonist of the story.
So for a class assignment (last class ever, unless I decided to get another Master's or a PhD.) we were split in groups and told to create a story over different social media platforms/try to garner fans (i.e. people who actively participate/interact, whether it's adding to the story or just talking with the author/creator). Thus spawned the (in progress) adventures of Bea, the Bold Bovine!

If you're on instagram, twitter, or tumblr you should totally follow (and interact with!) @BeaInBrief (that's linked directly to the twitter).

It's also compiled on Storify: Follow Bea's Story!

You don't want to miss it, most of my hashtags involve terrible cow-puns...well, 'moo' puns, and we all know that puns are the pinnacle of comedy. There will be action, drama, suspense, laughter, tears, hyperbole, and the unavoidable not-so-subtle references to various fandoms (I mean, come on, look at who's at the helm of this thing, aren't I nothing but an amalgamation of everything I love?).

I encourage love and feedback and just want everyone to have a good time so join in the fun, and maybe you can bring in some of your own inanimate friends to be Bea's moral support/cheerleaders and penpals on this clearly harrowing, life-changing journey!

David Tennant's Face of the Day

Source: leandruskis.tumblr.com
Because it's been way too long since his face his graced this blog.

Also, if you guys don't already watch Psych, please do. It's a funny, nerdy, and smart detective series with absolutely amazing guest stars (Mohinder from Heroes, Kennan, Urkel, Daniel-Son, Freddie Prinze Jr., the list just goes on and on). As the seasons progress (there are 6 so far, 16 episodes each, with the 7th starting soon) they get better and better.

Basically, it's highly recommended.

Doctor Rugrats

Dear Childhood,
Your welcome.

Also, thank you.

Love,
Present you.

Apparently the makers/creators of Rugrats were huge Doctor Who fans. They based Tommy off of the Doctor, which is why he always carried around his...*drumroll* SCREWDRIVER!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Source: lastone2sherlockisasissy.tumblr.com
Currently undergoing a particularly long and grueling day at work (from here on out, unless I specify otherwise, 'work' indicates my internship, because it's just easier that way), but I wanted to share with you some love in the form of this wonderful Valentine.

Extra love for anyone who makes me one. I wont even mind that it's late!

1. Stare at the red dot for 30 seconds.
2. Look at a white wall or blank surface and blink.
3. Enjoy.

You Never Forget Your Beloved Companions

I think if you've read my blog at all, you'd know how much this sentiment resonates within me. Almost profoundly, if not drastically so.

What really happened to Stonehenge

This kind of makes my day.

I've decided to make my novel this November an Urban Fantasy/superhero/ancient prophecy type story revolving around a set of characters that have powers based on the different Zodiac signs. Still haven't figured out wot those powers are going to be, though people on the NaNoWriMo forums have been might helpful. The prophecy revolves around the coming of the 13th, who can type the balance to either good or evil, [insert superhero movie trope], etc. etc.

Let's see if I can make a 50,000 word novel out of that or not.

David Tennant's face of the day

I've taken to staying up till 4 or 5 in the morning, just reading, because it's the only time in the day I can allocate to 'me' time that isn't constantly interuppted or tainted with the thoughts that I should be doing something more productive.

Apparently, the way my priorities lie, I value reading over sleep.

I'm currently reading a Young Adult ghost/fantasy thriller called The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson, the first in the "Shades of London" series, and decided to put my two cents in about it in a valiant effort to procrastinate. I'm going to post it later, that was a forewarning, so bear with me.

Geek Problems

Source: geekproblems.tumblr.com
I was pretty convinced I could speak in a British accent too, after a month of nonstop Who and Sherlock and reading Harry Potter out loud to my little brother (I try and do the voices, he seems to think they're accurate). I'd just hear the voices in my head and it's sound so right...and then I'd speak and realize how very wrong my initial confidence was.

There's so much reading to do on Marketing Management and Multimedia Financial Analysis (two of the classes I'm taking) that I have yet to do...but instead I'm making sure my blog gets updated at least twice a day. Priorities, right?

I'm only partially joking, I'm going to have my readings done. I can't fall back on work so soon, that would be a little ridiculous (like this clahs).

On Cats and Whovianism

I wish I could have conversations with my cat about Doctor Who.

Come to think of it, I'd most likely be very impressed if my cat started talking about anything, let alone Doctor Who. But that would be extra special. Unless he says something along the lines of "Fucking aye! Again? Didn't you watch that episode a week ago? WATCH SOMETHING NEW WOMAN."

Speaking of cats and Doctor Who, my aunt has recently rescued a cute little kitten from the outside world (which I might have mentione), who has been bathed, fed and given an abundance of love (via moi and my face/body which has apparently turned into a scratching post-chew toy-day bed combination).

"How is that relevant?" I hear you ask (albeit silently). Well my sister and I have decided to name him the Doctor...Doctor for short. I like to believe that since the Doctor can regenerate, why not into an animal? The Tenth Doctor seemed to have a fondness for kittens, before the whole New New York growing of humans incident at least.

Also, think of it! A cat has nine lives, so logically (stay with me here) if the Doctor's final regeneration is into a cat, he can have nine extra lives! It's like getting a 1up in Mario, except it's not Mario and it's a 9up.

It makes sense in my head, which is now thinking "quick, distract them with a cute picture!" Good thinking, self.
He's holding a Sonic Screwdriver, it's just invisible.

Motivation meter: empty

This is literally where I am at right now with the last paper I'm ever going to have to write for my undergraduate career. One week and a day from today and I'll be getting my diploma. All that stands in between me and that day (other than, naturally, the whole 'time' thing) is this last paper for Ancient Egyptian Religion. That's all, one last paper (and some stupid, useless shite for getting a 'p' for internship credit, but that requires a lot of winging it and a boring summary of wot I've been doing there so it doesn't count, it would take physical effort to not get a passing grade for that) and it'll be over, and yet for some reason, though I've had all this free time to start it, the mere thought of sitting down and getting it done is so unpleasant that I'm incapable of putting myself in that situation.
Also, I'm a masochist, so there will  be nothing more pleasant than the stress and anxiety and sleeplessness that will undoubtedly accompany leaving this paper till the last minute.

College Problems: Procrastination

More like, at least a day or two.

Tumblr Accidents

Source: queenoftheswans.tumblr.com
That's just amazing, and beautiful. I love when things like this happen, it makes me think that the universe has a sense of humour. Not that it planned this, but it nudged it along, made sure nothing was in its way, just so we can have this one.
