2000 Page Views!
I will celebrate this accomplishment with a string of How I Met Your Mother gifs! Because I feel like this show and the gifs made from it basically sums up how I feel right now (clearly I've gotten over the whole "no plans for my future" nonsense). So, without further delay, my gratitude/emotions right now:
Thanks to everyone who stopped by, even for a little bit. You're awesome.

Quote of the Century
This show makes me so happy. It's references and silliness like this that makes me realize why I love it so much.- Robin, HIMYM S06E19
Source: k-petrova.tumblr.com “I’m going going on a trip too, Scott! It starts in Narnia, it works its way up to Candyland and then, Hey, congratulate me, because I’m the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts! Expelliarmus!"

Tumblr
So I may or may not have gotten a tumblr account. I couldn't help it, it's so much easier to just reblog pictures instead of copying and pasting. But I have a thing for stream of consciousness type, long form writing so there's no way I'm going to go 'delete!' (or, EXTERMINATE! if you prefer) because then where else will I be able to write so much while systematically saying so little? Tumblr will be mostly used for the ADHD riddled child in me, the one that goes "ooh pretty! Must share now! Oooh more pretty!" and forgets that she's told her friend she'd come out of her room to hang out in one second, until he barges in looking like this
and starts calling her names one hour later.
Clearly my blogger self is more mature and dignified and less flaky. *shifty eyes*
Quick! Another gif to distract you while I run away!

Literally Skipped a Beat
| Source: thebarney.tumblr.com |
I remember the last time my heart skipped a beat just because someone I knew/liked smiled at me, and it's such a thrilling feeling. You know, that person who makes you smile even when they're not around, the person who's name makes you instantly perk up and automatically tune into the conversation your friends are having, though you try to act nonchalant about it. I look forward to the next time it happens.

Done!
Eight pages, booyah!
Ladies and gentlemen, in the words of the immortal Barney Stinson:
All I need now is a nice cold can of Coke, and my day would be complete. Except there isn't any left in the apartment (/sadface). I know it's already one in the morning and I shouldn't be drinking Coke when I'm about to go to bed, but it feels so much less triumphant to have completed that quest without any rewards to show for it, you know? I need something to solidify the idea that I'm done (well, I haven't read over it so 'done' is a very loose term in this context). I'm left instead with a 'well, now wot?' feeling, which I dislike. And this, lords and ladies, is the definition of a dilemma. The question is: is my addiction strong enough to overcome the tag team force that are my laziness and common sense?
Yes, yes it really is.
I'll come back to the multiple levels of wrong that that is another day. Right now though, I'm just going to indulge in my own crazy. Cause, really,

In the Home Stretch
So I've got 4 pages and a fourth of my essay done. Technically the minimum is 6, but that's for a 'passing' grade, and I'd like to get more than a C if I can help it. Which means that the fact that I still have at least a page and a half each for two sections that are left is a good thing. Don't want to go too far past the minimum required, that would imply effort and indicate that I am not, in fact, coasting through this final semester.
I feel like I might have been done by now if not for the intermission taken with my mates that involved two episodes of Doctor Who and a little bit of doing absolutely nothing. I can't help it! I'm a senior, I am automatically infected with the wonderful condition known as seniorities merely through association! But really, how important can graduating from college really be? Right? Right?
I'll stop now. Time to take a food break before finishing this mess up.
For your viewing pleasure, because I love you and Barney is always wonderful to come across:

Quotes
"I rose like a phoenix from her mentholated bosom and strode into the world: Armani clad and fully awesome."- Barney Stinson
Buffy: So did anybody... last night, did anybody um... burst into song?
Xander: Merciful Zeus!
Giles: Well, I sang but I had my guitar at the hotel...
Buffy: Like you were in a musical!
Giles: That would explain the huge backing orchestra I couldn't see and the synchronized dancing from the room service chaps.
Anya: And we were arguing and then everything rhymed and there were harmonies and the dance with coconuts.
Xander: It was very disturbing.
-“Once More, With Feeling”
"Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Men of Gondor, of Rohan, My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come, when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!"
-Aragorn, Black Gate Speech (I'll have you know I did all that from memory, minus the "I see in your eyes" bit, that one I always forget when I reenact this scene...which I probably do more often than I should considering that I am neither an actor nor a member of some LOTR roleplaying game)

Cake or Death?
You know wot's absolutely, borderline orgasmic-ly delicious? German chocolate cake and a glass of cold milk. Which is wot I happen to be having right now. Even the combination of textures, is mind-blowing: the smoothness of the cake itself, the crunch of the walnuts in the frosting, the chewiness of the coconut flakes. Can't get enough of it.

Cake makes me thing of Eddie Izzard (like ya do), therefore I give you a link to Dress to Kill, cause it's awesome (and I can). It doesn't get to the 'cake or death' part till 4:47, but the whole thing is wonderful, so it's all good.
And since I fell back into How I Met Your Mother love/on a youtube spree anyway (yes, I count one youtube post as a 'spree'), I'm going to post one of my favourite scenes from HIMYM ever: Jesus & The Three Day Rule.
And, of course...because I heart Doctor Who, and Matt Smith gets sexier by the minute:

Dead on Arrival
I was completely planning on doing some sort of work as soon as I got home...20 minutes ago. But it just seemed to make so much more sense if I got online and checked my mail and went on facebook and trolled failbook and...now I'm here.
There's a bright side to all this, pictures!
I had to add an addendum to this picture, because I feel like it applies. I mean, I didn't think that it could get worse than the books (yes, I've read them, I'm a very optimistic child) but it was almost as if the universe said:
Can't get any worse, you say?

Don't judge me.
In my defence, it's hard to convince myself to go to sleep when my Viking and Loki are talking about their potential sci-fi/fantasy novels (they're both fantastic writers and the ideas/details are so in depth that they could write multiple books from them).
So...since I just happen to completely coincidentally be here anyway!
*drum roll please*
