David Tennant's face of the day

Source: chatterboxrose.tumblr.com
I am studying for my 'Multimedia Financial Analysis' quiz, which is just a fancy name for accounting. We have a review session an hour before the quiz itself, where we go over the problem sets he suggested. I would have liked to have the answers to said questions before the review session/quiz, in order to figure out whether I actually know wot I'm doing, or whether I'm just deluding myself in order to stay sane...but alas, that's not happening.

Wish me luck?

The Doctor's Companions

I'm dead.
Not really, but figuratively. My body refuses to cooperate, my immune system has abandoned me, and I remain broken and helpless to face the ever deceptive Fates.

I.E. I'm sick. Which, I hope, will serve as a good enough excuse for why I haven't updated in forever, which I do apologise for. But here's a post disguised as a cry of forgiveness.

Come along, Pond

Firs of all, she is absolutely beautiful. Second of all, I still haven't started watching the season continuation /hangsheadinshame, but I will do so soon..and by soon I mean as soon as my sister finishes catching up. She's at Teninch's poor-excuse-for-a-season-that-made-everyone-die-a-little-inside, so hopefully we'll get started soon.

Until then, I have to be responsible and actually do my readings and get work done. Starting with trying to make it through my two hour and a half class. It's the first day, I'm sure I'll be okay.

It's about the companions

Source: featurefilms.tumblr.com
The companions shape and make the Doctor who he is. Each one changes him and affects him in a different way. They each teach him wot it means to be human, as well as wot it means to be a Time Lord, a defender, a champion. They are his soul, his values, his friends and loved ones. The show is so much more than just about the Doctor and his adventures, it's about wot each companion brings to the adventure and wot they teach him about who he is and could be.

The girl who waited

Source: doctorwho-addict.tumblr.com
I feel like there are many girls out there now who can claim the title of 'girl who waited.' "Most important woman in the world," and "Bad Wolf" though, seem to still be unique titles.

David Tennant's face of the day

Source: killerqueen-.tumblr.com

I guess "David Tennant's face(s) of the day with a cameo from Donna's face" would be much more appropriate, but that's a mouthful, so let's not change anything.

Re-watching the new series has made me realize that Donna and Rose were right, the Doctor does need someone to stop him every once in a while. The thing is though, Martha and Amy don't really do that. Don't get me wrong, I adore them both (Amy more so than Martha, but only because Martha overrides her own awesomeness by constantly doe eyeing the Doctor and being offended that he doesn't return the favour, though sans him she regains her badassery), but they more or less seem to let the Doctor do his thing.

It's almost like Martha is so in awe of him that she lets that get in the way of being 'maybe you should chill out now.' I'm being a little harsh, I know and I'm equally aware that that's not always true, but that is only because I've seen the future (my computer doubles as a TARDIS) and I know that in her own right Martha can handle her shit. So seeing her moon after the Doctor and suddenly turn into a clueless, possessive and unnecessarily jealous entity when crises strikes, the Doctor mentions Rose, or doesn't suddenly declare 'Martha Jones, you're the only companion for me! hurts my soul a little.

I'm going to have to reevaluate Amy's behaviour, and also wait for her run to end, before making final calls on her, but from wot I can remember of series five and six it seems like she's more content in doing her own thing and getting herself in trouble than really helping the Doctor.

I know Rose has her 'quoi?' moments too, and she's no stranger to screwing up and jealousy mooning after the Doctor, but I feel like she held her own more often than not. Also, as Willow Rosenberg so rightfully put it "love makes you do the wacky." (Yes, I just used love as a legitimate excuse, wotchagonnadoaboutit?) If none of that satisfies you, she's the Bad Wolf, she created herself. Your argument is invalid.

As for Donna, well let's not even get started on how epic she is. I don't think I'd be able to put it into words if I tried.

A good man goes to war

Demons run, when a good man goes to war. Night will fall and drown the sun, when a good man goes to war. Friendship dies and true love lies. Night will fall and the dark will rise, when a good man goes to war.

Misses Tardis, bring me a dream

Source: forgettingfaces.tumblr.com
Make him the maddest, that I've ever seen
Give him two hearts like drums and clover
Then tell him that his lonesome journeys are over
Tardis, I'm so alone
Don't have a Doctor to call my own
Please turn on your time travel beam
Misses Tardis, bring me a dream

I've come to the conclusion that stepping into the Tardis is like dreaming. You'r imagination [insert Spongebob gif which I cannot be bothered to find] is bigger on the inside than it is the outside, and you have all of time and space and existence to visit. And, at the end of the night, you can just come back to where you started.

Almost deaths

Source: textsfromthetardis.tumblr.com
Well, at least it's not like Rory's scenario, where he literally does die every night. That would suck, imagine just continuously dying every night. It's like they've made Rory a perpetual tribute to Ancient Greek mythology/torture.

Killing Rory

Source: burnoutlikeastar.tumblr.com
Again, Captain Jack Syndrome. Poor Rory though, he doesn't get the same attention that Jack does, and Jack tends to willingly put himself in those situations because he *knows* he can just come back. With Rory though, it's like any of the times could be the last.

Royal Wedding

I honestly couldn't really care less about the Royal Wedding. But this is just really hilarious to me. I feel like they should bring it into the show somehow, you know, the Doctor is just chilling in present day London (like ya do), and happens to psychic paper his way into the forefronts of the wedding. I bet Amy would love that, and poor Rory the Roman would just be confused and being like "Uh, guys, I don't think this is such a good idea."

Doctor Weddings

I still don't get how it is physically possible, or even conceivable to forget a creature such as this. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
