Mad Man with a Box

Source: littleappletree.tumblr.com

I love this gif, even though I wish the little pictures of Tennant and Eccly where bigger. Beggars can’t be choosers eh?

You know wot’s not fun? Food poisoning while on vacation. That’s super not fun. But it made me realize that Green Tea is the savior of all things, so I’m going to be drinking that like nobody’s business from now on. Yay antioxidants?

A belated Happy Eid to everyone (and Happy Ramadan before that). My wonderful little brothers got me a 3DS as an Eid gift (for those who don't know, Eid is like Muslim Christmas, except we get two a year...that's clearly the worst/most simplified/completely lacking in substance explanation you'll ever find on Eid so please don't go writing that in academic essays or anything) to replace my old one that decided it no longer wanted to be with me. It's pink, which is up there with my least favourite colours (although with the way I've been dressing recently, the hot pink dye in my hair, and the purple/pink Big Time Rush shirt I'm wearing, you'd be inclined to think otherwise), but it was also purchased with a copy of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance which is absolutely awesome. so all was forgiven.

Ever since the first Kingdom Hearts I've been waiting for a game where I got to play as Riku, whom I instantly fell in love with, but Square Enix/Disney deprived me of that in the second one, and the plethora of handheld ones thereafter. I'm still waiting for a full length console Kingdom Hearts to come out (*cough*Kingdom Hearts 3*cough*), but till then I think I'll settle for the 3DS game, which is quite fun in its own right. Other must buys if you get a 3DS is Resident Evil: Revelations (thankfully, they only make me wait a few years between the epic console games...Resident Evil 6 in October!) and Mario Kart 7.

I'm going to go back to dying now. Let's hope food can be consumed soonly, at the very least before heading back to New York in two days. Would hate to start off my last year of Grad school/in the city I call home by being dead.

Ramadan Musings '12 - Day 1

3:36pm, Mordor Standard Time
Approx 3hrs and 40ish minutes till sunset

I’m not hungry, but that’s nothing new, I have a tendency to forget that I haven’t eaten on normal days. Wot I *am* is thirsty, and all I can think is ‘the first cut is the deeeepest, baby I know.’ It’s the closest I’ve got to a pep talk.

It's that time of year when I'm seriously considering rewatching the new series of Doctor Who. I still have to catch up on The Mentalist and White Collar, among other things, but my heart yearns for Eccly and Tennant right now. If internet were not deplorable, I'd be streaming it on Amazon...I was going to type out 'Netflix' but those...lovely lovely people *cough*....are telling me that it's not available in my region.

Also, Big Time Rush. Yeah, bringing them back up again, because I love them and have managed to get others to do so to. Now, don't get me wrong, it's all silly and they are nothing but a boy band at the end of the day, but (as I think I said once, a long time ago), if you ever need anything nice and light and entertaining and full of ridiculousness and fun, go watch the show. Ignore the absurdity of the premise and give it a shot. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Merry Christmas!

Source: dv8r71.deviantart.com
Hallo all! It's officially Christmas on this side of the Atlantic, so I wanted to wish all of you a lovely, wonderful, Christmas! I'm going to be travelling later today to the Motherland, which should be fun, so I thought I'd send some Christmas spirit early so that I'm not abandoning this blog, once more. Also, who doesn't love Doctor Who themed madness?

I have a couple of lovely videos that I'm sure all of you will find wonderful, if you're fans of Doctor Who, but you're just going to have to wait for those.

Aaaand, since it is Christmas, if you haven't already been already directed here from my last post, you should check out my Moon's kickstarter project, and, if you can, donate to it! Because it will be awesome, and the world needs more awesomeness. Also, it would most definitely be much much appreciated.

Advice: don't stare too long at this gif, it will only hypnotize you and draw you in.

Donna and the Babes

Source: couldbeanythingthereforenothing.tumblr.com
I don't know if you can read it or not, but it says "Karen and the Babes have some competition."

I think I can say this falls into the category of things I would kill to see, a sing off between Karen Gillian, Arthur Darvill, Matt Smith and David Tennant, Catherine Tate, and John Barrowman. Notice how they each have a lady ginger to be there lead.

David Tennant's face of the day

Source: forum.ge
It seems I must apologise once again for my absence from this lovely blog. After not-screwing up my mock marketing presentation, and playing my first game/campaign of Dungeons and Dragons in my life (which was AMAZING, I'll tell you all about my character and show the pictures that my lovely friends drew of her, some other time because you clearly want to know more about my plunge into nerdom), my body decided it would be a good idea to completely die on me...again. So I think I'm just going to go ahead and curl up on the couch with something warm.

Hopefully, will be alive tomorrow.

David Tennant's face of the day

I've taken to staying up till 4 or 5 in the morning, just reading, because it's the only time in the day I can allocate to 'me' time that isn't constantly interuppted or tainted with the thoughts that I should be doing something more productive.

Apparently, the way my priorities lie, I value reading over sleep.

I'm currently reading a Young Adult ghost/fantasy thriller called The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson, the first in the "Shades of London" series, and decided to put my two cents in about it in a valiant effort to procrastinate. I'm going to post it later, that was a forewarning, so bear with me.

It's about the companions

Source: featurefilms.tumblr.com
The companions shape and make the Doctor who he is. Each one changes him and affects him in a different way. They each teach him wot it means to be human, as well as wot it means to be a Time Lord, a defender, a champion. They are his soul, his values, his friends and loved ones. The show is so much more than just about the Doctor and his adventures, it's about wot each companion brings to the adventure and wot they teach him about who he is and could be.

Doctor Trek

Source: summerset.deviantart.com

Nerds, rejoice. Here is another exceptionally done crossover to salivate over.

Billie Piper and Matt Smith

Not that I want to turn into a gossip blog or anything but, quoi?

I mean, I know they were together in Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and I'm sure if I googled it I would find the true (or, close enough to the true) reason for the hand holding, but it's so much more fun to speculate. This is why I can never actually be a journalist (bachelors degree be damned). I find that I have so much more fun imagining the reasoning for major events than finding out the truth behind them.

But you know wot they say, truth is stranger than fiction. Maybe one day I'll encounter that strangeness and be able to turn my whole viewpoint around. I like to keep my options open.

Silly name competition

Yeah, our dear Sherlock wins by a landslide. Though I feel like Eccly should have dealt a little more damage than that.

David Tennant: A return to the Whoverse?

This is 'old' by news standards, but it's still one of those things that make me sit here and pray to God that this becomes a reality.

Apparently, though I never really doubted it, David Tennant wants to (if possible, I assume) return to Doctor Who. I mean, I'm all for him being in movies and branching out. Fright Night looks like a lot of fun, and like I said recently, he's fantastic on stage (almost as if he's made for the stage) but I would like nothing more than to see him be the Doctor again. Even if it was only briefly, like the Children in Need special with Tennant and Peter Davison, or one of the specials like The Five Doctors. Something like that would bring immense joy to a lot of fans.

Also, it should be entertaining (to say the least) to see him and Matt Smith together. Not to mention yummy.

I'd cuff them for different reasons...but that's another story all together. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*

Neil Gaiman and Craig Ferguson: Fan boys

This wonderful televised gushing about Doctor Who was done on my birthday! Coincidence? I think not. Clearly both Craig Ferguson and Neil Gaiman were aware of my day of birth and my love of Doctor Who and decided to chat animatedly about it, not because of their own love/work on the show, but because they wanted to unofficially give me a gift of sorts.

:-)

Also, me and Craig Ferguson are the same person. The first 45 seconds was basically everything I've ever thought in those scenarios...with Ricky Martin (yes, I was surprised...apparently I'm the only one) and the Neil Gaiman books (read some, not all...and not American Gods just yet). I love him. Well, both of them. But...yeah I'll stop now. He rambles like I do (in my mind).

Always one step ahead

Source: thepsychoticone.tumblr.com
This is me on a regular basis. Except, unlike with the Doctor, most people seem to disagree with that statement. But I think that proves how true the statement is. No? Just me?

Back in Black

Hello my lovelies!
Sorry for being all M.I.A. the past few days, with my birthday and travelling (just got in to Madrid an hour ago, and it's 8 am) and such it was difficult to keep updating. I also don't think it helps that this desktop, apparently, as a parental control thing on it that isn't allowing me to actually view my pages. It's wot my little brother gets for using Internt Explorer...I mean, who even does that these days? Also, who password protects everything to the extent that I can't download Chrome? No offense to Bing or anything, but Google will always win.
Finally, a proper web browser. As I was saying, I'll start posting more regularly come later tonight so do not despair. In the mean time, consdiering that I got a total of one hour of sleep on the plane, I shall leave you with this and hope it partially redeems my absence.

I figure since it was my birthday 2 days ago, I'd try and find something Whovian/birthday related...and here it is! I don't necessairly agree with the selections (msotly because I wish I fell under the "Tennantface" horoscope), but it's all I got in this borderline-delerious state of mind, so it's wot you're getting for now.

P.S. Siximpossiblethings, I shall respond to your comments as soon as I figure out how to unblock the damn comments section for myself! Technology tends to hate me.
