Grimm

Fans of Buffy and Angel and their creators rejoice! Our wonderful David Greenwalt, executive producer extraordinaire (only slightly behind Joss Whedon in awesome ranking, and his tendencies to create wonderful cult hits...though that's more him being a creator and writer than a producer) is executively producing a new fantasy/supernatural/cop show entitled Grimm.

Yes, Grimm, as in the Grimm brothers, as in the faerie tales. Now, I don't know about you guys, but as a lover of cop/detective shows to begin with (Castle and Bones to name my favourites...yes, apparently I follow the actors that Mr. Whedon basically brings to light. I can't help it, I've been in love with David Boreanaz since I was eight. Also, CSI: Miami to name my guilty pleasures) and as a fanatic when it comes to fantasy and supernatural things, reading the about page caused my excitement level to rise exponentially with each line.

And then I saw David Greenwalt's name. That, more or less, sealed the deal. NBC, don't let me down.

This pretty-eyed boy is David Giuntoli, the lead in the show.

David Tennant's face of the day

Thom Yorke (from Radiohead) and David Tennant being wonderful, and, if I can interpret the expressions well enough, our lovely Doctor might or might not have been poking fun at Thom. Thom has that look in the first panel that seems to indicate trying to hold back a return jibe while being highly amused.

Also, I'm pretty sure that's our wonderful Catherine Tate's half that sticking out of the second picture.

Laptop death

So my beautiful 17" hp pavilion dv7-something or other laptop is currently in laptop intensive care, holding on for dear life. I mean, I should have seen Loveburger's demise coming, considering I've had him for almost three years (and that's ancient if your ever tried to keep an hp and actually use it regularly), but it still saddens me. Getting a new laptop that doesn't need to be plugged in to work, and that doesnt overheat in 2 minutes (and, recently that connects to the Internet and has working keys) would probably be a good idea, but we'll see.

Till then, I give you:

Not my wonderful Teninch, true. But for you fellow WoW or fantasy game fans, humorous nonetheless.

David Tennant's face of the day

This picture brings me so much happiness and pain. It's bittersweet and I just want to crawl into a corner with the first four seasons of new Who and some ice cream and coke and sob.

Morsmordre

I'll admit that though I think they butchered this scene in the movie (as well as the whole making it all too obvious that something was off about Mad Eye), this picture is quite epic. Also, David Tennant is quite awesome, so I'll let it go.

Always one step ahead

This is me on a regular basis. Except, unlike with the Doctor, most people seem to disagree with that statement. But I think that proves how true the statement is. No? Just me?

Mr. Radcliffe strikes again

I think I might be in love a little more than I was before.

That would be "Clom." The shock on his face is brilliant acting (in my humble and very biased opinion).

The downside to catching them all

I've picked up my Pokémon Black again, so this is particularly amusing to me at the moment. Also, I feel like the whole Pokémon song/rap should be rewritten to fit this scenario, because it would be hilarious. If I had the creative song writing talent, I'd do it myself. But alas (poor yoric) I am sorely lacking in that area and cannot provide. I just have to sit here and wish on first stars and eyelashes and comets and aeroplanes in hopes that this amusing fantasy of mind comes to pass.

Patrick Star's moment of brilliance

That's an excellent question Patrick, I have no idea.

Imagine that though. Imagine being 900 odd years old and, every hundred years or so (if not sooner) waking up with a new face and a new personality and having to rediscover yourself (that's wot she said) all over again. That would either be absolutely brilliant or absolutely terrible. I'm glad the Doctor had some fun with it at least. But then again, after nine previous regenerations maybe you have to make light of it.

Also see: almost any potential romantic encounter that I've ever had, save the one and a half time that I grew a pair for a bit before proceeding to say 'nah, I think I'd rather hide in my corner again thanks' and tossing away that little crown of confidence into an all consuming pit of semi- and unfulfilled fictionalised pairings.

The cons of being nocturnal

I was going to rejoice about not having to deal with that ever again (I automatically assume that all nighters are a purely college experience, please do not shatter that thin illusion for me), but then I realized that I've signed myself up for two more years of schooling...which means there will be a lot more of that face occurring.
Yes, I do look like an owl that's smoking when I've gotten no sleep and too much caffeine.
